Suncast Corporation (Suncast) warrants to the original owner (purchaser) of a Suncast product that the product will be free from defects in manufacturing or materials at the time of purchase. The product’s warranty must be activated to become effective. To activate the warranty, the owner (purchaser) must submit a product registration and proof of purchase to Suncast within ninety (90) days of the original purchase date. (Registration can be completed online at support.suncast.com or by mailing a copy of proof of purchase along with your contact information and model number to the address noted below.) This warranty only applies to defects that cause a failure in the form, fit, or function of the product.

Warranty Period:

The warranty period starts on the original date of purchase. Not all Suncast products carry the same warranty length. To determine the length of the warranty period for a particular Suncast product, please refer to the product’s original Suncast label or packaging. If no warranty period is stated, then the warranty ends ninety (90) days after the original date of purchase. You may view the warranty length for all Suncast products by visiting our website at suncast.com/warranty

Warranty Remedy:

Suncast will in its sole discretion repair or replace only the parts that have failed due to a manufacturing or materials defect. In the unlikely event Suncast determines the entire unit will need to be replaced, Suncast will in its sole discretion either replace the product or refund the original purchase price depreciated on a straight-line basis calculated by the time of ownership divided by the length of the warranty. Replacement parts may not be identical but will be of equal or greater quality.

To make a warranty claim, the original owner (purchaser) must submit the claim to Suncast within the product’s warranty period and provide proof of purchase along with a full description of the failure or defect and photos of the area of concern. Proof of purchase must include the identification of the product, seller, purchase price and purchase date. The claim can be submitted online at support.suncast.com or mailed via U.S. mail to:

Suncast Corporation, ATTN Contact Center, 701 NORTH KIRK ROAD, BATAVIA, ILLINOIS 60510 (USA)

Suncast reserves the right to require photographic proof of defect and other relevant information. Suncast may also require shipment of the defective part or product to Suncast at the expense of the owner/purchaser for verification or quality control purposes as conditions of and prior to processing a warranty claim (except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise).

Warranty Limitations, Conditions and Exclusions:

All Suncast products must be registered within ninety (90) days of the original purchase date to be covered by warranty.  A copy of a dated sales receipt must be submitted to complete the registration. The warranty is non-transferable and only valid to the original owner (purchaser). The warranty is only valid for new Suncast products originally purchased directly from Suncast or from Suncast authorized retailers that purchase the products directly from Suncast. (Please note that eBay, NewEgg, Wish and similar ecommerce platforms or similar resellers are not authorized Suncast retailers, and products purchased through these sites do not carry a Suncast Warranty.)
The warranty does not apply to items purchased in “open box”, “like new”, “used”, “damaged” or like condition. The warranty is voided on items purchased on “clearance”, items sold as defective or deficient, and floor models or items assembled or used for demonstration or display purposes. Suncast reserves the right to request proof that the item was new and in original unopened Suncast packaging at the original time of purchase.

Suncast does not provide any assurance or guarantee that the product will meet governmental or homeowner association zoning, building code, permit, construction, or placement requirements. The warranty is voided by nonconformance with the product’s manual, guides, warnings, foundational requirements, or other instructions for assembly and use.

The warranty excludes any defect, failure, or damage arising from unusual or excessive (high or low) temperatures, reflected sun rays, wind, or other weather conditions or acts of nature (including without limitation: tornadoes, hail, lightening, hurricanes, floods, fires, blizzards, microbursts, and earthquakes). Ordinary wear and tear, natural aging, discoloration, weathering, sunlight fading, rust, staining caused by mold, mildew, tree sap, damage resulting from wildlife or household pets, and damage resulting from third party products are also excluded.

The warranty is voided by any of the following: exposure of the product to painting, sandblasting (and other abrasives), harsh chemicals, product modifications, product disassembly (other than for authorized Suncast repair), industrial or commercial use, misuse, intentional or reckless acts, or use other than normal use intended by Suncast.

For all Outdoor Storage Sheds: To be eligible for and maintain warranty coverage, the product must be assembled on a foundation as outlined in the product’s assembly manual and properly anchored to such foundation. Also, at any time the unit is not in use, the doors must be closed and latched with the latching devices supplied and secured with a padlock. Left and right doors may have different latches, and both must be engaged. Failure to comply will void the warranty. Provided the previously mentioned requirements are met, all Suncast outdoor storage sheds are rated to withstand winds up to 65 mph.

For all hose reels: This warranty does not cover damage to the unit caused by improper hose attachment or defects caused by the consumer’s hose or hose attachments. All Suncast hose reels are rated to be used with a 5/8” vinyl light duty hose, using a hose other than recommended may void your warranty.

SUNCAST MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, CONCERNING THE PRODUCT OR ITS MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL SUNCAST BE LIABLE FOR ASSEMBLY, INSPECTION, DISPOSAL COSTS, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR ANY LIABILITY EXCEEDING THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT. SOME STATES OR JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS OR OTHER LIMITATIONS, SO TO THE EXTENT THESE STATES OR JURISDICTIONS PROHIBIT THEM THEY MAY NOT APPLY.
