Suncast Policy on Returns, Pricing, Ordering, and Shipping
By placing an order on this Website, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Returns Policy and other policies and procedures described below that apply to your orders for Suncast merchandise, and to the Suncast Website Terms and Conditions.
Quantities and Prices May Change. Prices and quantities for merchandise on this Website are subject to change without notice. Any changes in prices or quantity will be effective immediately and reflected on this Website, so you should refresh your browser to make sure you are viewing the most current version of our website. You should also confirm the quantity and price of each item in your Shopping Cart prior to placing your order. Sales of merchandise are subject to availability of such merchandise.
Changes/Cancellations of Orders. We try to fill and ship orders for Suncast merchandise as quickly as possible (usually within 24 hours). As a result, it is difficult for us to modify or cancel an order once you place it. If you have placed an order and you need to modify or cancel it, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Unfortunately, calling us or sending us a notice that your order needs to be changed or cancelled does not guarantee that we will be able to honor your request, as the order may have already been processed. If you need to cancel or change an order, please call us as soon as possible with the details of the order, and we can then confirm if we are able to cancel or modify your order. If we are not able to modify or cancel your order, you can refuse the package at time of delivery, but you will still be responsible for all shipping charges for that merchandise.
Please ensure, prior to placing your order, that your Shopping Cart order (and prices) has been carefully checked for accuracy. If you find an error in your shipping information, please call us as soon as possible to get this information corrected.
General Shipping Information.
We try to fill and ship orders for Suncast merchandise as quickly as possible (usually within 24 hours). Delivery time may vary based on location.
Suncast only ships to the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, APO or FPO addresses.
Conditions of “Free Shipping”: Our “Free Shipping” covers only standard shipping and handling charges in the 48 contiguous United States. It does not include return-shipping or any fees charged by any party other than Suncast.com. Free shipping is only valid for full products and not for parts ordered through customer service.
Please note that the carrier, for larger items shipped, may charge you a storage fee if delivery is not completed within 48 hours. The carrier is contracted to deliver only to the curbside of your address and cannot provide inside delivery (over the threshold) as part of their service. For this reason, it is recommended that you have help available to move the item to its final location.
RETURNS OF MERCHANDISE
Merchandise cannot be returned without following all of the procedures set forth below. Please note that these procedures apply to returns of defective merchandise as well as returns of unwanted merchandise. If your return of merchandise fails to meet the applicable criteria listed below, the merchandise will be returned to you at your cost.
All returns require an Authorization for Return. To obtain the appropriate Authorization, you must contact customer service at (800) 444-3310 before returning any merchandise.
All requests for return of merchandise must include the following at the time of return:
Please write the MRR number on the address label used to return the merchandise to Suncast. The MRR number must not be written on the original manufacturer’s packaging or box.
All returned merchandise must be received by Suncast in original packaging and in good condition (i.e., unused, undamaged, unassembled, and with all original product packaging, parts, fasteners, tools, and accessories). The risk of loss for the merchandise being returned to Suncast shall be with you at all times during the shipment of such merchandise; please retain your tracking information. Title to the merchandise being returned will remain with you at all times, and will transfer from you to Suncast only upon receipt and acceptance of the merchandise for return by Suncast as provided herein.
Returns of Unwanted Merchandise.
You must request authorization from Suncast within 30 days of receipt of the product to return unwanted merchandise. If Suncast grants authorization for return, the unwanted merchandise must be returned to Suncast within two (2) weeks following the date such authorization is granted.
If you follow the procedures described here, Suncast will, upon receipt of the return, issue a refund in the same form of payment that was originally used to purchase the product. The total of the refund amount will be the total amount paid minus return shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee on the total product cost. The refund will include any appropriate sales taxes paid. Please note that it can take 2-7 business days after issuance by Suncast for the refund to reflect on the account statement for your bank account, credit card account, or other payment service account, if the refund is made by direct credit to such account.
Returns of Defective Merchandise.
Merchandise that is defective can only be returned by following all of the procedures set forth in this RETURNS OF MERCHANDISE section.
You must request Authorization for Return from Suncast within three (3) days of receipt of defective merchandise, and you must deliver the defective merchandise for shipment to Suncast within two (2) weeks of your original receipt of such merchandise.
Defective merchandise can only be returned in exchange for the exact same merchandise or, at Suncast’s sole discretion, the purchase price can be refunded to the original method of payment you used for the purchase. Suncast will not accept returns of merchandise based on damage or shortage claims that are not noted by the delivery service and reflected on the bill of lading (or otherwise reflected in a damage report) created at the time of delivery.
For merchandise that we verify to be defective, Suncast will reimburse you for your original shipping expenses, provided that your defective merchandise is shipped via ground shipment only.
If you follow the procedures described herein, upon the return of merchandise which Suncast finds to be defective, Suncast will, at no cost to you, ship a replacement. However, Suncast cannot refund the shipping cost of returned items. Suncast may, in its sole discretion, issue you a refund in lieu of replacing defective merchandise. Once your return request is processed, and is verified to meet the criteria above and to be defective, your replacement merchandise will be sent to you in a reasonable period of time, depending on replacement merchandise availability. If Suncast is unable to ship a replacement product within 30 days following receipt by Suncast of merchandise found to be defective, Suncast will notify you that you may request a refund of the purchase price.
SUNCAST DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ANY AND ALL LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or exclusions or limitations on the duration of implied warranties or conditions, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
