Suncast Policy on Returns, Pricing, Ordering, and Shipping for Merchandise Purchased Directly from Suncast

By placing an order on this Website or through our Customer Care Center, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Returns Policy and other policies and procedures described below that apply to your orders for Suncast merchandise, and to the Suncast Website Terms and Conditions.

Quantities and Prices May Change.  Prices and quantities for merchandise on this Website are subject to change without notice. Any changes in prices or quantity will be effective immediately and reflected on this Website, so you should refresh your browser to make sure you are viewing the most current version of our website.  You should also confirm the quantity and price of each item in your Shopping Cart prior to placing your order.  Sales of merchandise are subject to availability of such merchandise. 

Changes/Cancellations of Orders.  We fill and ship orders quickly (usually within 24 hours).   Once an order is processed or shipped, it cannot be changed or cancelled.  Therefore, if you need to cancel or change an order, including without limitation the merchandise you ordered or any ship to address, please call us immediately at (800) 846-2345 with the details of the order.

Prior to placing your order, please ensure that your Shopping Cart order (including prices) has been carefully checked for accuracy.  If you find an error in your shipping information, please call us immediately at (800) 846-2345 to get this information corrected.

General Shipping Information.

We try to fill and ship orders for Suncast merchandise quickly (usually within 24 hours). Delivery time may vary based on location.

For online web orders, Suncast only ships to the 48 contiguous states. For phone orders, upon confirmation by Suncast at the time of your order, we may be able to ship to Canada, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and some other non-contiguous locations.

Conditions of “Free Shipping”: Our “Free Shipping” covers only standard shipping and handling charges for merchandise consisting of finished goods (including accessory kits) in the 48 contiguous United States. It does not include return-shipping or any fees charged by any party other than Suncast. Free shipping does not apply to any merchandise consisting of parts or non-accessory kits.

Please note that the carrier, for larger items shipped, may charge you a storage fee if delivery is not completed within 48 hours. The carrier is contracted to deliver only to the curbside of your address and cannot provide inside delivery (over the threshold) as part of their service. For this reason, it is recommended that you have help available to move the item to its final location.

Returns of Unwanted Merchandise.

Suncast only permits the return of unwanted merchandise consisting of full and finished products, including accessory kits provided all conditions of return are met.  Suncast does not permit the return of merchandise consisting of unwanted parts or non-accessory kits unless they are defective, incorrectly shipped or damaged prior to receipt by you.

If all conditions described here are satisfied, Suncast will, upon receipt of the returned merchandise, issue a refund in the same form of payment that was originally used to purchase the merchandise authorized for return. The total of the refund amount will be the total purchase price you paid plus any sales taxes you paid minus a 15% restocking fee on the total cost of the merchandise. You are responsible for paying any return shipping costs for unwanted merchandise. Please note that it can take 2-7 business days (and sometimes longer depending on your bank) after issuance by Suncast for the refund to reflect on the account statement for your bank account, credit card account, or other payment service account, if the refund is made by direct credit to such account. Suncast only permits the return of unwanted full and finished products, including accessory kits, provided all conditions of return are met, but does not permit the return of unwanted parts or non-accessory kits unless they are defective, incorrectly shipped or damaged prior to receipt by you.

Returns of Defective, Incorrectly Shipped or Damaged Merchandise. 

Defective, incorrectly shipped or merchandise that is damaged prior to receipt by you may only be returned in exchange for the exact same merchandise or, at Suncast’s sole discretion, the purchase price can be refunded using the original method of payment you used for the purchase.  Suncast will not accept returns of merchandise based on damage or shortage claims that are not noted by the delivery service and reflected on the bill of lading (or otherwise reflected in a damage report) created at the time of delivery. 

For merchandise that we verify to be defective, incorrectly shipped by Suncast, or damaged prior to your receipt, if your return is authorized and Suncast requests return of the merchandise, Suncast will reimburse you for your cost of shipping to return such merchandise to Suncast, provided that such merchandise is shipped via ground shipment only and you supply Suncast with a copy of your shipping receipt.

If all conditions described here are satisfied, upon the return of merchandise which Suncast finds to be defective, incorrectly shipped by Suncast or damaged prior to your receipt (if return is requested), Suncast will, at no cost to you, ship you a replacement or, alternatively, in its sole discretion, may issue you a refund in lieu of replacement. RETURNS OF MERCHANDISE

Returns must follow all the procedures set forth below.  Please note that these procedures apply to returns of defective as well as unwanted merchandise. If your return of merchandise fails to meet the applicable criteria listed below, the merchandise will be returned to you at your cost.

Before attempting to return any merchandise, you must first obtain a written return authorization from the Suncast Customer Care Center.  To request a return authorization from Suncast please contact us at 1-800-846-2345 or by submitting a request through our online help center at https://support.suncast.com. You must submit your request within thirty (30) days of your receipt of the merchandise you are seeking to return. If your request is granted, Suncast will issue you a written return authorization number (by email or other means).  Merchandise must be returned by you to Suncast within two (2) weeks following the date Suncast authorizes its return.

All requests for return of merchandise must include the following at the time of return:

  • Original shipping packaging and packing materials (e.g., original box, packing materials, etc.)
  • Original packing slip and UPC barcode
  • The returned merchandise must be complete and include all parts, fasteners, tools, manufacturer documentation and accessories.
  • Manufacturer documentation (manuals, warranty cards, registration information, etc.)

You must write your return authorization number on the address label used to return the merchandise to Suncast.  Please do not write your return authorization number on the original manufacturer’s packaging or box.

All returned merchandise must be received by Suncast in its original packaging and must be unused, undamaged, unassembled.  The risk of loss for the merchandise being returned to Suncast shall be with you at all times during the shipment of such merchandise; please retain your tracking information. Title to the merchandise being returned will remain with you at all times, and will transfer from you to Suncast only upon receipt and acceptance of the merchandise for return by Suncast as provided herein.

SUNCAST DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ANY AND ALL LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.  Some states and jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or exclusions or limitations on the duration of implied warranties or conditions, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you to the extent such states or jurisdictions do not allow them.  You may also have other rights which vary from state to state or jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
