About Sam
“I learned to play the game in a different style. No coaches. No lessons,” says self-taught pro golfer Sam Bennett. Sam was raised in Madisonville, Texas, where he honed his skills at a local nine-hole course before joining the collegiate team at Texas A&M University. He earned All-America honors during his junior year and represented the American team at the Arnold Palmer Cup in 2021 and 2022. As a senior, Sam was named SEC Golfer of the Year and set a school record for lowest scoring average. He went on to become the first U.S. Amateur champion in Texas A&M history.
“Don’t wait to do something.” The inspirational words of Sam’s late father are tattooed on his left forearm, where he looks at them daily for motivation. Sam currently ranks as the #1 college golfer and the #5 world amateur.
