Suncast Corporation Appoints New President and Chief Executive Officer
Jim Ahlborn was appointed the New President and CEO of Suncast Corporation
Batavia, Ill. – April 5, 2021 – Suncast Corporation announced today that Jim Ahlborn will be appointed as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 5, 2021. At the same time, Tom Tisbo, President and CEO since the company’s founding in 1984, will become Executive Chairman and will continue to work closely with Mr. Ahlborn and the senior management team.

He has helped lead the company through many headwinds and challenges over the past 12 months, including the Covid-crisis, a local labor shortage and a global resin shortage, which makes him ideally suited for this role and to assume day-to-day leadership of Suncast. I look forward to continuing on with the company in my role as Executive Chairman, partnering closely with Jim to help him transition into his new role”.

Mr. Ahlborn is currently the Senior Vice President, CFO and COO, of Suncast. Prior to joining the company, he was Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO of Hu-Friedy Mfg. Co LLC. From 2009 to 2017 he was Senior Vice President and CFO of Shure Incorporated, from 1997 to 2009 he was the Vice President of Finance for Tuthill Corporation, and from 1991 to 1997 a consultant for Deloitte. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from DePaul University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
