Get Your Garage in Gear

Set yourself up for success and get your garage looking great by moving some of the bulkier, heavier objects (generators, power washers, etc.) to an easily accessible outdoor shed. Moving these items will immediately make your garage look much tidier—plus, it’ll save you lots of time sifting through clutter whenever you need them next.

Lawn Order

Keeping your lawn clean and tidy does more than just impress the neighbors—it also helps your lawn soak up sunlight. By raking and removing fallen leaves, you’ll be removing a barrier that can prevent grass from photosynthesizing—and getting some fresh air for yourself!

Let Your Lawn Breathe

Fall is a great time to aerate your lawn! Aeration helps relieve some of the compactness of the soil, letting nutrients and oxygen reach the roots. It also helps your lawn absorb more water when it is struggling in the heat. Aeration can be done manually using a pitchfork to push small holes into the lawn—paying particular attention to high-traffic areas, as the soil may have been compacted. You can also get aerating cleats and have a nice walk around the yard!

Plant Ahead for Spring

Autumn provides the perfect opportunity to re-seed your lawn, giving the grass ample time to settle and establish itself for spring. Be sure to reseed any patchy areas that need a little extra love. Come spring, your lawn will be looking much fuller!
